Wedding Wednesday...the dress

Some say its the 'most important detail,' others say that 'you'll only wear it once.' My brother's fiance was engaged on a Saturday and bought her dress on Wednesday. I say you 'just know,' and she just knew.

I guess its time to buckle down and do some serious sewing! I can't resist Amy Butler's patterns. So bright and beautiful. Considering all this rain, I'm ready to pack up and head to a farm house in Kansas, where I can string bunting banners from the rafters and wear cowboy boots....although I bet my feet would sweat. Gross.

My only concern is that this is edging on sororities and pink and green Lilly Pulitzer. Don't get me wrong, I love bite size snacks at noon and flowers are super cute, but I think I might only wear such things in juxtaposition to my personality. I can't even fathom going there. Anyway, I'm just too mean and sarcastic to enter that world. After all, I don't want to end up shunned like the most rad person ever: Amanda over at MODG.

Green Wedding Shoes

I've always dreamed of having an outdoor space like this....so badly...but living in New England, everything would get moldy & rot uber fast...like that couch I left by the fire until someone else moved it. Note the lack of motivation.
